Dr. Sandeep Mangat

Hi there! My name is Dr. Sandeep Mangat and I am the founder and practicing Veterinarian at Auburn Bay Veterinary Clinic. Growing up on a farm, I was always infatuated with our array of animals. I would wake up early before school to help my family feed and take care of them and have fond memories of the affection that they would show. It was during these moments that I decided that I would one day become a veterinarian.

After completing my Veterinary Medicine program at PAU, India, I practiced as a veterinarian for 9 years before making the best and, at the time, intimidating decision to move to Canada. Soon after arriving, I completed my equivalency requirements at the University of Guelph.

I have practiced Veterinary Medicine in Calgary for over 20 years at various practices throughout the city and envisioned providing the highest standard of Veterinary Medicine at an affordable cost at Auburn Bay Veterinary Clinic.

I enjoy attending seminars and workshops on soft tissue surgery, dentistry, ophthalmology and cardiology. My interests also include endocrinology and emergency medicine.

Outside of the clinic, you can find me playing sports with family and friends, hiking in the Rockies, meditating, catching up on a Flames game or playing with my pet doggo Khushi (whose name means happiness).

Dr. Priyanka Mangat

Hello! My name is Dr. Priyanka Mangat. I completed a Bachelor of Science Honours in Biology at Queen’s University, followed by earning my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of Calgary Faculty of Medicine in 2024.

My passion for the animal-human bond is what ultimately led me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. I deeply understand the positive impact animals can have on our lives, and my priority is to ensure your pets receive the best possible care. I have a special interest in anesthesia, palliative care and behavioral medicine.

Outside of work, I’m often accompanied by my German Shepherd, Lola, and my Goldendoodle, Oscar. I also enjoy creating art, traveling, and spending quality time with my loved ones.

 Dr. Anmol Mangat

Hello everyone! My name is Dr. Anmol Mangat and, as you’ve probably guessed, my old man is Dr. Sandeep Mangat! I grew up in Calgary, surrounded by animals. At a young age, I was always fascinated by the science of medicine and how I could use it to treat sick animals so that they feel better. I was also infatuated with becoming an astronaut and exploring Jupiter, but I’m glad that Veterinary Medicine worked out!

I pursued my dreams by starting to volunteer when I was 14 years old at various Veterinary Clinics throughout the city as well as at the Calgary Zoo. After getting my diploma with Honors at Crescent Heights High School, I was accepted on a scholarship at the University of Calgary to study in the Biological Sciences Honors program. I was also accepted into an accelerated Veterinary Medicine program at the best Veterinary Medicine University in India, which is what I decided to pursue.

After returning to Canada, I completed my equivalency at Mississippi State University in the States. I am currently pursuing a one-year long small animal rotating internship in Emergency and Critical Care, Internal Medicine, and Surgery at Louisiana State University and can’t wait to be back home soon!

My professional interests include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, critical care medicine, hematological disorders, and endocrinology.

In my free time, I enjoy playing sports and video games, watching soccer, hockey, and basketball, reading, getting in a good workout at the gym, and playing with my pet doggo, Khushi (who definitely likes me more).

Dr. Mike Price

Hi everyone, I'm Dr. Price and I perform Advanced Orthopedic Surgery at Auburn Bay Veterinary Clinic.

After graduating from the University of Saskatchewan, I have been performing veterinary orthopedic surgery for over a decade and have obtained advanced training to meet a level of surgical excellence in veterinary orthopedics.

Some training attended by me includes but is not limited to: TPLO surgery along with complex and advanced TPLO case management and complication management. Lateral fabellar suture management of cruciate ligament disease. Patellar luxation correction and advanced correction via distal femoral osteotomy. AO vet trauma and fracture management courses including fundamental, advanced, and masters level training including training in minimally invasive fracture management. External fixation, hybrid fixation and ring fixation. Deformity management of the forelimbs and hindlimbs, Femoral head and neck excision, surgical management of hip luxations, management of elbow dysplasia and fractures of the elbow. I also regularly attend surgical conferences and continue to further my skillset and offerings year by year such that I can practice in tandem with the most recent developments in orthopedic surgical care. 

I offer consultations and surgical repair for cranial cruciate ligament tears, diseases of the elbows, hips, ankles (tarsi), and wrists (carpi), as well as management of chronic arthritis, traumatic injuries including fractures of the long bones, pelvis, and various other locations, ligament and tendon injuries, and hip luxations.

I am pleased to partner with Auburn Bay Veterinary Clinic regularly so that we can deliver high level care to our patients and clients right at our clinic. The equipment used for these interventions is cutting edge technology, including fully sterilized power equipment, locking plate technology, and various strategies to minimize post surgical complications and infections. Exceptional attention to detail is critical for performing quality orthopedic surgery. With this in mind, our goal is to offer gold standard care for your pet while ensuring these procedures remain realistic, affordable, and as stress free as possible!
